Our Blog Has Moved House

I take a bike ride each morning for an hour and a half to two hours, it keeps me fit, gives me a sense of well being and gives me time to catch up on the wisdom of others. Over the years I have read hundreds of biographies of successful people and implemented little tips I have picked up along the way. Now, with the Internet, life is sooooo much easier. I surf through iTunes and on google for mp3 podcasts for entrepreneurship, blogging and self improvement and have been surprised at the quality of some of these. At the moment I am listening to a Yaro Stark at entrepreneurs-journey.com. For those looking to make a living on the web he has some great tips.

One of those was about focusing your blog and what you want to do with it. For a long time I have wanted to contribute to the entrepreneur and sales skills area and so decided to change one of my business blogs at hf-wealth.com into a self-help and entrepreneur blog. I called it ‘The MarketMaker’ blog because this was the name we came up for for our mythical expert who had the knowledge of all of our group. We promptly started posting and we are even getting some great traffic even though we are only a month old.

Then I listened to a couple of Yaro’s podcasts and the excellent ‘blog profits’ podcast and decided that I should make the message clearer. I am also in the middle of writing an eBook and doing a podcast collection called ‘Seven Days To Improve Your Life And Your Business’ which I will be giving away free on this blog. When I started writing, in the first chapter I tell the story of words that inspired my life ‘One Life : No Fear’ and it dawned on me that these four words gave perfect clarity to what I am trying to do here, and that is give my readers enough personal power from our words both written and spoken, that they go out and live life by that maxim ‘One Life : No Fear’.

I looked this up as a URL and low and behold no one had it. I snapped it up and built this site and moved the content here.

I guess this is one of the things that should be seared on the heart of every entrepreneur and that is ‘be flexible’. When you find information out that causes you to re-evaluate your current path then you must be able to move quickly and change direction.

About Me

My name is David, I am very happily married and have one step son. We moved to Switzerland 4 years ago as we love the country, it is a hub of entrepreneurship, the people are fabulous and the skiing is not bad either, and right now we are touring Asutralia.

This blog is about passing on some of the strategies I have learned in 20 years as an entrepreneur, from running a commodities operation producing $300mn per year of business to the challenges of owning a small hotel on a tiny Caribbean island and many businesses inbetween.

Others coaches are excellent at reading books and distilling the content for you, that is great if that is what you are looking for. I give you practical advice through my own successes and mistakes. I hope you find the blog useful.
