Guerilla Advertising Sucked Me In
He is what happened. I was riding my bike and was about 10km into it when I stopped in a usual rest spot under a tree. There on the floor was a 50 Euro note. Being a Yorkshire man I picked it up in a millisecond and put it in my pocket.
When I got home I told my wife about my good fortune and got out the ‘fifty’. Here is a picture of how it was folded when I picked it up:

And here is a picture of it unfolded:

And now the back:

The ‘Fifty Euros’ was in fact, as you can see from above, one of God’s flyers. Even the Omnipotent One knows about viral marketing (I guess He ‘invented’ it..). The obvious plan of the church who came up with this flyer, was to ‘leave’ thousands of these lying around across the country safe in the knowledge that people would pick them up… how is that for genius.
The original blog post I had planned for today was ‘Why Offline Businesses Need a Blog‘. In that post I was looking to make the point about how many offline businesses do not really have a proper online presence and how a blog could do that. After today’s experience with my ‘fifty’ I realised that we can get so caught up with our online presence that we forget that real word advertising still works.
As a result of today’s experience I am looking at ways of advertising One Life : No Fear offline, just to keep my eye in….
