Interview With Tyrone Shum – Podcast

Posted by David@OneLifeNoFear On September - 8 - 2009
Tyrone Shum is an online entrepreneur from Sydney, Australia. I came across Tyrone’s podcasts on iTunes where he interviews successful online marketers. I learned a huge amount about how to set up online and how to maximise the effectiveness of my online presence through his podcasts and site.

I was, therefore, stoked when he commented on a blog post so I followed it up with an email and asked for an interview. The podcast below is the result.

Many of the people who read my blog and send emails to me are people who have an offline business and are now venturing online in a more serious fashion so I was particularly interested in Tyrone’s take on how he did it.

Six Figure Income Made Possible By Outsourcing

Tyrone runs a six figure income business selling products to do with Dragon boating and shares his experiences on his blog InternetBusinessPath.com. For anyone who is looking to maximise their online efforts it is a fantastic read but it is also very interactive with videos and audio. His interviews with successful online entrepreneurs is available on iTunes and I can say from experience that there are some golden nuggets of info to be had within those podcasts.

He also has a site at massoutsource.com and it is excellent. Tyrone gives massive free content on how to outsource your online business through videos and an eBook entitled ‘Secrets of Outsourcing Experts Revealed’. There are six videos which are very complete, you will be able to watch these and know what you need to know about outsourcing.

I won’t ramble on too long as the podcast is a robust 50 minutes long, but there are some great tidbits of information from someone who is making a very good income online so it is well worth a listen.

I would also like to thank Tyrone, once again, for taking the time to share with us his experiences.

STOP PRESS —————————————————————————————
At the time of this interview Tyrone was developing a course for those wishing to benefit from outsourcing of their online work through assistants in the Philippines. The great news is that Tyrone is close to launch and is in the pre-launch phase at the moment. As part if this you can get a free report that is packed with information.

The Secrets of Outsourcing Experts Revealed

I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy of The Secrets of Outsourcing Experts Revealed and I am quoted at the beginning of the book as saying “This book, along with the videos at massoutsourcing.com is a $500 product if ever I have seen one, and Tyrone has made it available for free, I suggest you grab it before he changes his mind!”. I stand by this comment…. Read the rest of the article here

    David,

UPDATE – EXAMPLE OF 4 hour work week business in Action – I just checked my email; I found a paypal payment notification that informed that a lady from South Australia just bought a “50 pack” of a stylish (yet a few thousand over stocked!) mosquito repellent wrist bands to the value USD$99 while I made that post to you.
I still get a kick out of seeing those notifications, they come from Australia, New York, Dublin, Toronto, Greece or wherever sometimes it maybe a inquiry for 1000 nets for an orphanage in Cameroon – it is a beautiful thing; time to set up more sites (this time not selling physical products)that do the same – which is – to supply me with more payment notifications whilst I sleep, eat or play!
    Cheers, Anthony

  3. Anthony says:

    G’day David,

My name is Anthony from Sydney. I’m a “Yaro groupie”; (past 5 months) I was reading the comments at EJ after Yaro’s podcast on Pat the E-Book selling success story (great story)and sighted your comments then clicked on your link and checked out your blog which i like very much.
I listened to your interview with Tyrone (fellow Sydney resident)the other day which was very interesting. In regards to the 4 hour work week, I based my on-line business totally on this book after reading it back at the start of 2007. When I read the book I was a total internet newbie.

My niche site sells physical products (mosquito nets – don’t ask long story!). 4 hour work week is great and it opened my eyes to the possibilities on-line business however it is lacking in a few areas like how it has nothing on basic copy writing, affiliate marketing and I made a mistake in the testing which he didn’t write about in the book (he probably didn’t know about – not his fault). Although by being lacking in these areas it has made me investigate and learn more about what I need to know to make the business work – there is always an upside!

However the time ‘maximizing’ and whole philosophy about work, money, outsourcing and living the life of your dreams is fantastic and very useful. I highly recommended the book, have you read it yet?
    Cheers, Anthony

Gotta say the GrooveShark.com tip was a big one for me. Just listening to Hotel California by The Eagles – better quality audio than YouTube!

About Me

My name is David, I am very happily married and have one step son. We moved to Switzerland 4 years ago as we love the country, it is a hub of entrepreneurship, the people are fabulous and the skiing is not bad either, and right now we are touring Asutralia.

This blog is about passing on some of the strategies I have learned in 20 years as an entrepreneur, from running a commodities operation producing $300mn per year of business to the challenges of owning a small hotel on a tiny Caribbean island and many businesses inbetween.

Others coaches are excellent at reading books and distilling the content for you, that is great if that is what you are looking for. I give you practical advice through my own successes and mistakes. I hope you find the blog useful.
