1. New Lotus Esprit
Anyone who knows me will be shocked and probably laugh at this one. The reason being I had a Lotus Esprit V8 GT and it was the most fabulous car to drive… when it worked… and that was not often. From brand new I had several exhausts, the bodywork was coming away from the chassis, the battery was nearly always dead, the radiator had to be replaced.. twice… and it spent a total of around 7 months in the garage being fixed in the two years I had it.

The problem is it was awesome…. and that kind of awesome you cannot get out of your system. Bring it on in 2012, Lotus… I just hope that they have fixed the reliability issues.
2. Ferrari 355 Spyder (a blue one please)

OK, they don’t make them anymore. I don’t care, they drive like a dream and are as beautiful as a super model delivering you the winning lottery ticket.
3. Aston Martin V12 Vantage

There is something about driving an Aston Martin. I had the pleasure of a DB7 many years ago and I was treated like royalty every where I went. I think I would probably live in the V12 Vantage.
4. Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster

Do I really need to justify this being on the list?
5. Audi R8

You just know that when you get into this thing you will be surrounded by chrome, gadgets and awesomeness at every turn of the head… and that engine note is something to behold.
6. Pagani Zonda

It is on the list because… well… it is an incredible car. I have never driven one and I would have to have stacks of cash to justify spending that kind of money but to have one in the garage is definitely something to do before I die.
7. Bugatti Veyron

Having watch Jeremy Clarkson thrash one of these across Europe it had to go on the list. Pure engineering genius.
8. McLaren F1

Still the most fantastically engineered car, in my opinion. It would almost be a crime to drive this car with only 64 left in the world, but could you resist if this was sitting in your garage? No.. me neither.
9. Mercedes SLR

Just because it sounds like a Spitfire. Of all the cars on the list this thing would be the one that etched a permanent smile on my face.
10. Sunseeker Predator

OK… it is not a car…. but it is my list and I will put whatever I want on there
. A few of these things rumble past my house on occasion and they are definitely the Ferrari of the water.
That’s it for me today. I have a few things to do online and then I am having the day off to spend with my family. If you have any suggestions for the list let me know in the comments… I will take any excuse to talk about off the hook cars.

The bugatti veyron is just the greatest car ever I would die to own one. But I guess it will never happen.
Hi, first I want to say awesome blog. I don’t always agree with your posts but it’s always a great read.
Keep up the nice blogging.
Hi Jon… I can see why you would go for the Bugatti… but if I was only allowed one it would have to be the McLaren F1..
Amazing list… Bugatti Veyron is by far the most amazing with the Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster a very close second.
