The Best Tool For Squeeze Pages?

Posted by David@OneLifeNoFear On November - 25 - 2009
In 2006 I was looking for a way to build a site that I could administer virtually by myself, so I went on to a well known freelancer site and asked for some designs. I got in touch with a designer from the Philippines and he introduced me to WordPress. Even though the old WordPress looks like a dog compared to the latest version, it was love at first site.

The ease at which you can build a blog and add plugins and widgets to the site is fantastic, but there can still be a lot of fiddling around if you want to get it right. The good news is that WordPress is becoming more and more user friendly and those who design themes more and more adventurous.

One of those tools is Squeezetheme from Unique Blog Designs. UBD are the guys behind may of the top blogger’s sites, like John Chow and Yaro Starak… and soon to be this one.. They get rave reviews from those guys and others so anything from them deserves a look.

Sqeezetheme is designed specifically to help build your email list. Everything I have read from virtually all the online marketing gurus says that building your list is the number one goal you should have. Anything that helps with that has to be good right?

UBD have also created ‘Squeeze Camp’ which is the 12-week course that will take you from novice or intermediate level, to expert level when it comes to building and managing your email lists. Squeeze Theme also comes with a Resource Center, including a step-by-step video tutorial guide, and a support forum. If you match that with Squeeze Camp, the 12-week guide to mastering Squeeze Theme and building your email list, you’re getting some great value and resources.

Personally, I find messing about with the code on the site a pain and I have been looking to get something that allows me to manage more of the process and allows me to test various layouts without going gun ho and buying amillion themes.

I would say that this resource is not a one stop shop if you are very new to building sites, you will need to have some experience at making sites and a little HTML experience to get things absolutely right, but as a tool to begin learning on while still producing great pages this looks to be a winner.

David, wish I found these Squeeze themes before I spent a ton of time messing around with trying to do this stuff on my own. They look great! Will check them out for sure.

About Me

My name is David, I am very happily married and have one step son. We moved to Switzerland 4 years ago as we love the country, it is a hub of entrepreneurship, the people are fabulous and the skiing is not bad either, and right now we are touring Asutralia.

This blog is about passing on some of the strategies I have learned in 20 years as an entrepreneur, from running a commodities operation producing $300mn per year of business to the challenges of owning a small hotel on a tiny Caribbean island and many businesses inbetween.

Others coaches are excellent at reading books and distilling the content for you, that is great if that is what you are looking for. I give you practical advice through my own successes and mistakes. I hope you find the blog useful.
