Each day at least one worker would threaten to 'mash' me up while waving a machete in my general direction. A local crime figure turned up at our half built hotel at 3am in the morning, drunk with five or six equally drunk and high hangers on demanding money and one of our English staff had a rock thrown at his head outside a nightclub.

After a busy few weeks I finally get the time to sit down and write a post. Since that last one I have covered another 15,000 miles or whatever it is (Brisbane to Florida via LA and back) and have become pretty sick of airplanes but the trip was well worth it. I have been developing the business plan and structure for a very cool business in the US and it was made all the more exciting by dealing with the people who run it. Isn't it just the case that business is much more fun when you are dealing with motivated, intelligent people? Can't tell you anything about that one yet, but will use it as a case study in the future.
